I’d like to direct you to a UK Now story that was released this morning. The story, which describes the launch of our website for the new Health Education Building (HEB), can be found here.

As the story states, this site will be the best place for you to see the collected information regarding the progress of the building, from bios of our partners to project timelines. As more information becomes available, we will be sharing it out to you on our various social channels, but it will also live on this website, and I just wanted to make you aware of it.

As we have said before in this space, the HEB will be a world-class facility that will house certain departments of four colleges: Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing and Public Health. Groundbreaking is expected to be in early 2024, with completion set for 2026.

I’ll let you read more about it in the story, but we are extremely excited about this project, and what it means for our College.

Over the past weeks, many of you have been asked — and many others will be asked — to take part in certain committees and groups to help further determine how we will utilize this new space. Expect more updates on the results of those meetings in the near future.

I just want to thank you all again for your help — at each interval, you are helping to shape the future of the College of Health Sciences on this campus.
