Celebrating National Allied Health Professions Week …

November 03, 2023

Nov. 3, 2023

Faculty, Staff and Students,

Greetings. Once again, I hope all of you are well.

We’ve now passed the halfway point of the semester, and coincidentally, we are also approaching a time when I can shine a bit of light on our CHS Student Ambassadors.

Our Ambassadors are a representative group of students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement. They serve the College and assist with student recruitment, speak to community and University groups, plan social, philanthropic and educational activities for peers, and represent the College at receptions and meetings.

They are also responsible for helping us celebrate National Allied Health Professions Week, which is held in the first full week of November. This year it will be Nov. 5-11, and again, our Ambassadors have planned an exciting schedule of events for the week:

Nov. 6, Make My Monday: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the CTW Student Lounge

Students will send a message to another fellow CHS Student through notecards.

Nov. 7, Tasty Tuesday: 9 – 9:30 a.m. in the CTW Student Lounge

Donated Donuts/treats will be provided in the Student Lounge in CTW in the morning.

Nov. 8, Wellness Wednesday: 9 – 11 a.m. in the CTW Student Lounge

Start your morning right with coffee and a healthy snack. Starbucks coffee, trail mix and fruit snacks will be provided, courtesy of the College of Health Sciences Ambassadors.

Nov. 9, Thankful Thursday: All day Thank-You Distribution

College of Health Sciences Ambassadors will be distributing thank-you notes to all faculty and staff of the College of Health Sciences.

Nov. 10, Feature Friday: Graphic Share on the CHS Ambassador Instagram Page (@ukychsambassadors)

Students will be able to use a provided graphic to share on their Instagram Stories.

Again, I thank the Ambassadors and their leaders for all of their hard work, and I hope everyone enjoys this special week as we prepare for the semester’s stretch run.

Stay safe and well,

Dean Lephart
