Screening and Tracing FAQs

Screening

How do I complete the daily screening?

  • Daily symptom attestation will be available in the beginning on a web-based application, with the opportunity to download a iOS/Google native application. Daily screening can take place on either of those formats. Daily communication to all eligible staff, faculty and students will be sent via text message and email message as a reminder.

What if I am not coming to campus today or do not have any classes today, do I need to complete the screening?

  • Yes. Students who are enrolled in in-person courses should complete the daily screening every day, even on days when they don’t have class, including weekends.

Do I need to complete the screening on weekends?

What happens if I forget to complete my daily screening?

  • A series of follow-up communication will be triggered. From there, a case manager will follow up via phone. Each day presents a new opportunity to complete the required daily screening. If there is prolonged non-compliance, a student will receive a follow-up from the Office of Student Conduct or Center for Support and Intervention.

What do I do if I am unable to complete the daily screening due to physical or technical issues?

  • There are scenarios where there may be an exception to completing your daily symptoms, although we highly encourage either self daily attestation and require the completion of the daily symptom screener, the case managers will consider and manage a list of exceptions within reason for the individual issue as it arises. E.g. Those who are high symptom on a previous screening will be exempt and those who are in quarantine or test positive are exempt.
