Hey all! My name is Layne Singer and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California for the first fifteen years of my life, but Lexington is what I call home. Lexington is a great city with an even greater University at its heart, UK! I am happy to say I am entering my Junior year in the College of Health Sciences studying Human Health Sciences with ambitions to enter medical school after graduation. CHS has allowed me to form powerful connections and meet motivating peers. I want to be able to pass on and share these experiences with prospective students and becoming a student ambassador will give me this opportunity! I was able to discover the College of Health Sciences and the unique opportunities that come with it from a previous CHS student ambassador, which served as yet another reason to proudly represent the college this upcoming school year!

While academics is a significant portion of my life, I try to spend time with friends and have hobbies to mentally recharge. Outside of academics, I am a motorcycle and car fanatic, huge sports (mainly football) fan, and gym-goer. This upcoming academic school year will provide special opportunities to form new connections and meet new people, and I am so grateful to be in a position to share the positive impacts CHS makes on our community.
