Michaela Keener joined the University of Kentucky in June 2019 as the Equestrian Athlete Initiative Research Administrative Coordinator. She is also a pre-doctoral candidate in the Rehabilitation Science Program within the College of Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky. She received her Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Exercise Science in 2016 from University of Minnesota Duluth, and her Masters of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from University of Wyoming. Her research interests include biomechanics and exercise physiology of equestrian athletes to create baseline data on a unique athletic population. More specifically, how to incorporate wearable technology into equestrian athletes practice to guide future recommendations and policy.
