I have formally accepted a position as a Business Development Manager at XBS Office Solutions

What is your favorite memory from your time in your program?

I believe that my favorite memories from CLM are from my practicum experiences as each experience was unique and a challenging and engaging learning experience.

What makes you proud to be a UK College of Health Sciences graduate?

The college of health sciences really brought me close with my peers and shaped me as a student and a person.

What advice do you have for students following in your footsteps?

Enjoy your college experience , life and time are short so treasure it!

What's next for you upon graduation?

After graduation, I have accepted a position with the University of Kentucky Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Department with their research team. I then plan to attend Medical School.

What is your favorite memory from your time in your program?

My first memory is the opportunities I have had through my research certificate. Secondly, was the New Orleans Trip for HHS 357! Both have been incredible experiences and hold many memories!

What makes you proud to be a UK College of Health Sciences graduate?

The community and the friends I have made. These last four years have not been easy, but with the constant support and encouragement from the college, it has made the tough times a little easier.

What advice do you have for students following in your footsteps?

Take advantage of all the opportunities! You never know what will be waiting for you if you just try something new!

Courtney Carpenter

What's next for you upon graduation?

I am excited to be continuing my education in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Graduate Program here at the University of Kentucky!

What is your favorite memory from your time in your program?

My favorite memory from the CSD program is the countless hours spent in the CTW lounge with some of my best friends. Each day was filled with laughs and friendship that I will greatly miss.

What makes you proud to be a UK College of Health Sciences graduate?

I am proud to be a College of Health Sciences graduate because I know that each of my professors have pushed me to be the best I can be. Because of them, I will be ready to serve clients and help my community in a few short years.

What advice do you have for students following in your footsteps?

Enjoy every moment. These years move way too fast and before you know it, your time here is over. Be present, take risks, and make memories because looking back at it, you’ll be so glad you did.

Post-doctorate degree in the College of Medicine

What is your favorite memory from your time in your program?

Traveling to Argentina for an international conference where I presented my research and was highly appraised.

The faculty and staff that have been supportive.

Work hard in silence and let success make the noise.
