Application Instructions

Admission into the Human Health Sciences program is holistic in nature. Consideration is given to academic rigor and achievement, leadership and community involvement, health care focus and experience, and cultural understanding and experiences. While holistic in scope, admission into HHS is a highly competitive process. There will be an admissions cap of approximately 100-105 students for each yearly cohort.

Admission into HHS is contingent upon an application review process and a one-day College of Health Sciences Showcase Day in which you will meet faculty, staff and current CHS students as well as learn about your new college.

Attendance at a CHS Showcase Day is mandatory as part of your admittance into the HHS program.

The following factors are taken into consideration as part of the admissions decision:

New Students (college freshmen)

  • Completion of the supplemental program application
  • High school GPA (preference given to those with an unweighted high school grade-point-average of 3.5 or higher)
  • ACT or SAT scores (preference given to those with a 28 ACT composite or equivilant SAT)

Current UK students and transfers
