Megan Kusmierz was ready.

On Monday, she finally moved in to her residence hall at UK, and the 18-year-old Human Health Sciences major (pre-med track) from Ocala, Fla., was already looking forward to the upcoming semester. 

Outreach Athletic Trainer (and CHS alumna) Allie Schanck knows the importance of AEDs, also known as automated external defibrillators. She carries one with her at every game and every practice.

The Georgia Athletic Trainers’ Association has named Jaclyn Donovan as the recipient of the 2022 Warren Morris Sports Medicine Person of the Year Award. Jaclyn is currently the Athletic Training Services Coordinator at the Vereen Center in Moultrie, Ga., and the Head Athletic Trainer for the Moss Farms Diving Tigers.

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The College of Health Sciences announced promotions for six faculty members.

Congratulations are in order for Kiersten White.

After all, she just recently graduated with a Human Health Sciences degree, on the Athletic Training track. But according to her, she has so much more to do.

The construction phase of the new University of Kentucky Health Education Building was approved Friday by the UK Board of Trustees.

The $380 million project was authorized by the 2022 Kentucky General Assembly and the design phase was approved by the Board of Trustees in May 2021. 

Last weekend, UK had the opportunity to host Kentucky Athletic Training Society's annual symposium and some of our students and our preceptors got in on the action!

There, Hannah Hoch, PhD, ATC, was honored with the KATS 2022-2023 Educator/Preceptor of the year.

On Thursday, May 18, the College of Health Sciences came out for an end of the year celebration at the Longship Club at Kroger Field.
