When Dana AlGhadban, MS, OTD, defends her dissertation next week, she should (if all goes well) become the 11th student from the Rehabilitation and Health Sciences PhD program to successfully defend since the spring.

Kirby Mayer, DPT, PhD and Assistant Professor in Physical Therapy and the Rehabilitation Sciences PhD Program, is the recipient of an $80,000 Acute Care Research Grant from the Foundation of Physical Therapy Research.

Baez Honored as Young Alumni Award Winner

Shelby Baez knew she wanted a career in athletic training when she was in high school. But originally, she thought she was going to contribute to Good Morning America.

As a four-sport athlete growing up in Fayetteville, N.C., (that’s basketball, softball, volleyball and cross country, if you’re curious) she originally thought she may be a journalist, then go to law school and be a political correspondent for GMA.
