Dr. Hustad's research focuses on characterizing and enhancing longitudinal speech, language and communication development and outcomes in children with cerebral palsy (CP). This work seeks to create and validate data-based longitudinal models of speech and language development in CP that can be used to predict outcomes, and guide treatment decision-making. Hustad’s work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders since 2003.

LaDora Thompson, PT, PhD, is the Travis M. Roy Endowed Professor in Rehabilitation Sciences at Boston University College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College. Her scientific expertise is in the areas of muscle physiology and protein structure/function. Dr. Thompson’s research contributions over the past 20 years are in the fields of skeletal muscle aging and disease; however, recently her research program developed a mouse phenotype to identify frailty, which was patterned after the frailty phenotype used in clinical and community settings.
