While Matt Williams was growing up in Hazard, Ky., no less than five of his family members had to interact with physical therapists in some way due to a myriad of ailments. Some, like his grandmother, could be stubborn. Others could be prickly.

The University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) program’s graduating classes of 1975-77 recently held their first formal reunion via Zoom in November.
45 years ago, the class of 1975 became the first Kentucky-graduated Physician Assistants (PAs); so, this reunion was an exciting moment for this monumental group to reconnect.

The University of Kentucky’s College of Health Sciences Department of Health and Clinical Sciences faculty have nominated Paula Holbrook, RN, BHS, JD, CPHRM, to the College of Health Sciences Hall of Fame due to her exemplary commitment, compassion, and tireless work ethic to impact the healthcare industry.

Dr. Mary Insana Fisher will be awarded the Young Alumni Award on November 12, 2020 at the UK College of Health Sciences Hall of Fame and Young Alumni Award Virtual Celebration.
This award is given to two alumni who have graduated from CHS in the past 10 years and who have been successful in their field, and have qualities in leadership, mentorship, and recognition.
