The construction phase of the new University of Kentucky Health Education Building was approved Friday by the UK Board of Trustees.

The $380 million project was authorized by the 2022 Kentucky General Assembly and the design phase was approved by the Board of Trustees in May 2021.

Rachel Grigg says a “typical” day on her internship is really anything but typical.

“Each ‘typical’ day is different, which is the nature of the business,” says the 20-year-old Clinical Leadership and Management major from LaGrange, Ky.

Grigg, who is part of the Class of 2025, landed a summer internship as an administrative intern at Essex Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Louisville.

On Thursday, May 18, the College of Health Sciences came out for an end of the year celebration at the Longship Club at Kroger Field.

On Saturday, May 6, College of Health Sciences students participated in graduation ceremonies at Rupp Arena. 

We were there to chronicle all the fun. 

From starting off the day with coffees, to lining up and walking out to the arena, we followed our grads on their special day.

It was a celebratory kind of day as the College of Health Sciences honored its own faculty and staff at a luncheon Thursday morning. 

"I'd like to acknowledge all the faculty and staff for all you've done to support our mission in the College," said Karen Badger, PhD, MSW and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Undergraduate Education for CHS.
