Accelerated 3+2 Degree Option!

Purpose

The accelerated Bachelor of Science in Human Health Sciences and Master of Science in Athletic Training Program, the UK-CAT (Connecting Bachelor’s to Master Degree in Athletic Training), will enable students in the Human Health Sciences (HHS) pre-athletic training track to earn a Bachelor of Science in Human Health Sciences and a Master of Science in Athletic Training in 5 years!

Admissions

Students must meet the holistic admissions process for the Human Health Sciences degree. The link to the admissions process and application can be found here: https://www.uky.edu/chs/academic-programs/human-health-sciences/admissions

Once admitted to the Human Health Sciences degree program, the students must meet the criteria for the UK-CAT 3+2 Progression.

Admission in the Human Health Sciences pre-athletic training track does not guarantee admission in to the Master of Science in Athletic Training Program.

Completion of the Bachelor of Science in Human Health Science, pre-athletic training track, does not result in the ability to sit for the Board of Certification Examination and obtain state licensure to practice athletic training. All students interested in becoming an athletic trainer will have to pursue their professional degree in athletic training after completion of the pre-athletic training track.
